Training Program

The Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) is a multi-stakeholder organization dedicated to enhancing water stewardship capacity and guiding, incentivizing and differentiating responsible water use.

 

AWS employs three mutually reinforcing programs to drive improved water stewardship:

  1. Training regarding a standards and verification system

  2. Membership in a multi-stakeholder association

  3. AWS Water Stewardship training

 

Together, these programs are designed to build capacity and provide a forum through which knowledge on water stewardship can be generated, accessed and shared, helping us address our collective water challenges. At the heart of all three programs is the stakeholder-endorsed AWS Standard. 

 

Whether you are located in the Great Lakes region, middle-America or the Pacific Northwest water risks surround you. A first step in gaining awareness of your particular water risks is to understand how different types of water risks are material to your operations. 

Are you looking to mitigate water-related risks at your sites or even within your supply chain?

 

Do you need a strategic framework to help identify water risks and opportunities and then put an action plan into place to address those risks and opportunities?

 

If so, then WMEP can help your organization through AWS training. After the training, you will be equipped to advocate for water stewardship and implement the International Water Stewardship Standard (AWS Standard) at sites within your organization (industrial, agricultural or municipal).

  • Tuesday, Sept 10 & Wednesday, Sept 11 - "Advanced Training in Water Stewardship."

  • Tuesday, Sept 10, Wed, Sept 11 & Thursday, Sept 12 - "Specialist Training in Water Stewardship."
