The Forum

The WI Sustainable Business Forum originated in 2014 as an Earth Day event to honor businesses that had developed a sustainable product or process, or that were led by an exceptional leader. Along with honoring these businesses, the event presented an opportunity to dive deep into a contemporary sustainability topic on the minds of Wisconsin businesses.  Past topics have included the Home Energy Affordability Loan Program (HEAL) program (developed by the Clinton Climate Initiative and piloted by Johnson Controls), the development and use of sustainability metrics, using voluntary standards, and integrating sustainability into supply chain decision making. These presentations preceded the awards presentation, which was done over lunch.

The nomination process for the Sustainable Business Awards generally opens in late spring.  Watch our newsletters for more info, or check back at the awards portion of our site here.

The 2018 Sustainable Business Forum was held June 1st and was hosted by Lands' End.  See the link to the right for more info on 2018 award winners.
