“As the director of WMEP’s Sustainability Services, I have the opportunity to help manufacturers across Wisconsin discover how they can save money and benefit the environment and their employees.” - Randy Bertram, Director of Sustainability Services

WMEP promotes sustainability through there innovative service of Profitable Sustainability℠. Profitable Sustainability℠ is a comprehensive program that cuts costs associated with production, while enhancing resource efficiency along the entire supply chain. This program promotes the improvement of resource utilization, increase of profits, reduction of risks, and the reduction of environmental impacts.

Profitable Sustainability℠ focuses on a three step plan to make manufacturing more sustainable. The first step is a diagnostic meeting, were WMEP meets with companies to create a personalized plan to maximize profits while promoting sustainable improvement. Once the diagnostics are determined, WMEP works on developing an advanced cost/benefit analysis and helps create an action plan. Finally, WMEP specialists and partners work with companies to progress on multiple sustainability based projects, in order to reduce costs while reducing environmental impact.
